Field and Farm Co was organized in 2016 by Benjamin and Meghan Snare. They left the Chicagoland area because they wanted the culmination of their days to add up to more than the average suburban life: years where the better parts of each week are spent working corporate jobs, meals that are quick and comprised of processed foods, schedules that are heavy but not necessarily meaningful. Neither felt satisfied with the narrative their day-to-day lives held, so they started dreaming of something different, something that embodied a more rewarding life.
Field and Farm Co offers produce and meat shares based on a membership subscription model. Farm to Table Memberships are available June-October.
All produce is organic, sustainably farmed and local. Pesticides and harmful chemicals are never used, from seed to harvest. All meat is grass-fed and grass-fInished on open pasture, with no growth hormones.
In addition to membership shares, Field and Farm Co regularly hosts on-site events that include seated dinners, live music, and entertainment suited for the entire family.
